The IICRC's Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is the industry's core water damage qualification — covering how water losses behave, how they're classified and how properties are dried and restored safely.

What the training covers

  • ✓ Safe extraction of standing water and contaminated materials
  • ✓ The science of structural drying and equipment selection
  • ✓ Moisture monitoring through to verified dryness

Why it matters

Water damage worsens by the hour, and health authorities advise drying water-damaged areas within 24–48 hours to prevent mould. WRT-certified technicians work to the ANSI/IICRC S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration, protecting both the building and the people in it.
